When you're looking at a crop that you've set up, sometimes you want to see where the profit drops to zero. Or you want to know how different yield potential changes what you can expect for the profitability of the crop.
This example is from a wheat crop. It shows the yield across the top. The 30, 35, 40 etc. are bushels per acre. Along the left hand side it shows the price for the commodity.
It's easy to see that if you expect to make some money, which is a perfectly normal way to feel about it, then you'd want to raise more than 45 bushels per acre, and you'd want to have a price above 5.90.
To view the breakeven matrix for one of your crops, you'll need to have it set up in a comparison. Go to Crop Comparison, then create a new one if you don't currently have any set up. After you've addded the crop with a rental agreement to a crop comparison, then you'll be able to view the breakevens for the crop and rental agreement combination.
